This coffee table is built in the essential shaker style, beautiful yet simple. The table top is made with breadboard ends to keep the surface flat and free of warping or cracking for many years. The breadboard ends also look very nice! The base is made with true mortise and tenon joinery. The aprons feature a modest arc on the bottom edge, adding to the visual appeal. The legs are tapered to provide a slender appearance. The top is joined to the base using tabletop fasteners that allow for wood movement. The bottom line, this is a very well-made, real piece of furniture. No particle board, no plywood, no dowels, just real craftsmanship.
